MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma Required Post-Secondary degree or training in information Technology preferred.
Proficiency and experience in an IT environment with direct client contact Experience in computers, hardware, software, audio/visual equipment, and associated peripherals required.
General Knowledge of Active Directory, AzureAD and Google Edu preferred Experience in an education environment desirable.
Experience in organizing technology equipment inventory preferred Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO Chief Information Officer JOB GOAL The Technology Hardware Analyst is responsible for maintaining computer and network systems and other related technologies.
Activities associated with this job include but are not limited to set-up, distribution, and maintenance of devices.
The devices used by Bristol Tennessee City Schools vary and can be Chromebooks, Macbooks, and/or Windows platform.
This job would include handling Chromebook repairs and facilitating warranty return authorizations.
Other duties include hardware and software troubleshooting and inventory asset tracking / assignment.
Experience in distributing and setting up both wired and wireless labs.
Knowledge of printer set-up and other basic computer functions is essential to this job title.
The incumbent should be able to produce accurate and timely work as well as possess strong organizational and decision-making skills.
Sufficient strength and agility to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job is a requirement.
The ability to meet established deadlines and accurately completing technology Support Tickets.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoots hardware and software issues related to various computer systems including but not limited to Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OS, IPAD OS, Chrome OS and related interfaces, storage media, video displays, and programs.
Maintains an inventory of parts for personal computers and classroom technologies.
Assists with ensuring that all computer systems and classroom technologies are operational at all times including peripheral devices, and internet access.
Familiar with the concept of computer networks and operating systems (Active Directory, Exchange, SQL), components (network interface cards, switches, routers, wireless access points), and protocols (TCP/IP, 802.
11).
Installs and maintains application software used by the Department of Education employees in a manner consistent with software licensing and configures software to optimize the efficient use by clients.
Continues a working knowledge of basic test equipment and software.
Obtains and applies updates and patches as needed, investigates reported problems by applications software users and makes appropriate fixes available for all users.
Delivery and setup of prepared devices to schools.
This includes set up in labs and carts.
Provides instruction and training to technology coaches located throughout the school system.
Understands data management strategies, media characteristics, backup systems, interruptible power supplies, and peripherals.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Work year to be 12 months and salary year to be.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
