2K a year 12 hours ago 12 hours ago 12 hours ago Reporting to the Administrator or designee, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing administrative duties in an efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by the supervisor.
This job description may be used independently or in connection with other office, HR, payroll, AP, transportation, scheduling duties and tasks.
MAJOR Responsibilities 1.
Receives and follows reception schedule/instructions from the supervisor and as outlined in the established policies and procedures.
2.
Operates paging/telephone system as required.
3.
Answers telephone, determines nature of call and relays information within the facility as necessary.
4.
Responds to inquiries and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
5.
Maintains a current file or list of patients/residents by name and room number, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
6.
Maintains a list or access to current/past employee personnel to contact for purposes of relaying employee information, helping to fill a shift, other tasks as necessary.
7.
Responds to requests from within the facility and contact appropriate Representative.
8.
Pull potential referrals from referral source sites such as (Allscripts and Curaspan), off of E-fax and copy machine.
Run benefit checks and take to Admissions for processing.
9.
Distribute Resident Petty cash and reconcile nightly with Business Office Manager.
10.
Maintains a current listing of critical care patients/residents and/or patients/residents who may not receive phone calls due to their condition.
Refers such calls to charge nurse as deemed appropriate.
11.
Gives directions/information to visitors, guests, patients/residents, sales representatives, etc.
12.
Reports suspicious persons or information to supervisor immediately.
13.
Ensures guests and visitors abide by existing rules and refuses admission to persons as directed.
14.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
15.
Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent patient/resident care information to ensure patient/ resident rights are protected.
16.
Follows established safety procedures and precautions when operating office equipment.
17.
Reports equipment malfunctions or breakdowns as soon as possible.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Ability to work harmoniously with others.
Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
Ability not to pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Skill in the use of the sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Ability to meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
