7K a year This position requires the employee to reside no more than 30 minutes from the BTES Service Center (2470 Volunteer Parkway, Bristol TN), according to Google Maps.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a degree in Accounting is required.
Experience:
One year experience in general accounting is preferred.
Job Knowledge:
Must have a good knowledge of accounting principles, basic data processing procedures, Data Processing Applications of General Accounting, and Payroll.
Abilities & Skills:
Must be able to effectively communicate financial and payroll information to other employees.
Must be able to work under pressure to meet schedules.
Working Conditions:
Usual conditions in air-conditioned office.
Schedule of work hours may be varied.
Some overtime may be required.
Volumes of work are irregular with peaks occurring at month-end and year-end.
Objectives:
To ensure that reliable financial and payroll information is available on a timely basis for decision-making and control purposes.
To provide for the safekeeping and systematic filing of accounting and financial records to ensure their continued prompt accessibility.
To be a team worker with employees and a positive BTES representative with customers keeping in mind that our business is service.
