The Float Pool Registered Nurse is required to meet the specific requirements of the float pool agreement. The agreement must be signed and in department and personnel file. The agreement is to reviewed and signed annually. The Float Pool RN is responsible to maintain competencies and required department check offs for all areas of potential assignment. The Float Pool RN is assigned for duty thru the administrative nurse supervisor office. This position may not reside in a specific department for more than 8 weeks unless approval given to cover leave of absence or in extreme staffing crisis. The float pool RN will be evaluated by the administrative nursing supervisor, nursing director and with input from clinical leaders associated with this nurse''s performance. Responsible for providing nursing care. Provides patient care that is appropriate to age and developmental level of assigned patients. Performs nursing assessments and delivers care as an integral part of the care team. Works toward favorable outcomes while delivering safe high quality healthcare. Accurately reports and documents in the Electronic Documentation System.
Graduate of a nursing program with an active RN license. Med/Surg assignment. Minimum of 2 years of hospital RN experience required.
CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
