Job Details:

Answers all incoming calls for multiple hospitals and facilities and extends as appropriate. Monitors multiple hospital codes and alarms. Dispatches appropriate teams to respond as documented. Acts as answering service for physicians and select departments. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Must be proficient in the use of a PBX console. Keyboarding, computer, and operation of office equipment skills are required. Skills required for swapping malfunctioning pagers and maintaining appropriate code group assignments to said pagers. Maintain physician and department on-call schedules. Collect data for metrics required for efficient operation of the department. Maintain a regiment for testing various emergency equipment phones, pagers, alarms, and etc. Perform methodical troubleshooting for phone, pager, and pager system outages in order to provide a speedy recovery for critical equipment. Prepare transit permits.
GED/High School Diploma. Excellent communication, listening, computer, and clerical skills required. PBX Operator experience preferred. Typing/keyboarding required.
BLSis required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
